Fruity Maple Porridge

A hearty breakfast is the best way to start your camping adventure. This recipe is terrific for adults and kids alike.

Serving size 1


3/4 cup whole milk or soymilk, plus extra for serving (optional)

1/2 cup oatmeal

1 tbsp maple syrup or honey

mixed fresh fruit, such as apples, pears, bananas, peaches, mangoes, strawberries, and raspberries, prepared and chopped


Mix the milk and oatmeal together in a pan and cook over medium heat, stirring, for 8-10 minutes.

Serve drizzled with the maple syrup and topped with the fresh fruit, with a little more milk if needed.
