Campfire Hot Coco

 

Hot coco is a wintertime classic--so why not make it over your campfire on a chilly night? 

Ingredients: 

2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips

4 cups Whole Milk

½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Whipped Cream

Marshmallows

Hot Coco Powder

Peppermint Sticks

Crushed Peppermint

 

Equipment: 

Grill Grate

Whisk

Pot Holders

Mugs

 

How To: 

Heat your milk in the pan over a fire on the grill grate. Stir often to ensure it doesn’t burn. Once the milk starts steaming, add the chocolate chips and vanilla. Whisk until completely melted into the milk. 

 

Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of hot coco powder or crushed peppermint, and a peppermint stick! Enjoy! 

 

Note: This can be made exactly the same way on a stove top. 

 

Tasty Tip: Toast one side of the marshmallows and place the untoasted side in the coco! Can you say “yum!”
