With the weather getting chilly at night, we don’t always want to be outside to make our s’mores. However, some of us do! We thought it would be great to be able to know how to make these delicious caramel apple s’mores over the campfire or in your oven!
You can keep chocolate in this if you wish, however, it's just as yummy without!
1 apple, cored and sliced about ¼ inch
1 jar caramel topping
Over the Campfire Method:
Heat up a grill grate over your fire and grill your apples just to soften lightly and warm them. Spread some caramel on your graham cracker. Toast your marshmallow to your preference and place on the caramel covered graham cracker. Carefully place the hot apple on top of the marshmallow and top with another graham cracker. Enjoy!
In the Oven Method:
Heat your oven to 375. Spread your caramel on your graham cracker and set aside. One a foil-lined pan, place your apple slices with your marshmallow on top. Bake for about 4 minutes. If you want your marshmallow to have the toasty flavor, pop it under the broiler setting for about 1 minute--keep a close eye on this! It will burn fast!
After you remove your apples from your oven, place on the caramel covered graham cracker and top with another. Enjoy!
